A trove of previously unreleased songs recorded by American music icon JJ Cale during his early, and arguably most influential years, has at long last been released. Featuring vintage tracks from Cale’s legendary tenures at Shelter and Mercury Records, Rewind: Unreleased Recordings’ was in stores from 10th October. Recorded at the same time Eric Clapton introduced Cale’s songs “After Midnight” and “Cocaine” to mainstream audiences, Rewind is a remarkable collection of songs that epitomize the distinctive sound and style that Cale built.
After many months of speculation it was finally revealed late last year that Tina had resigned to EMI Records, her first ever label and released her brand new album “Songs of Love and Loss” in December. This is a collection of personal favourite torch songs blended with several originals. The album was certified Platinum after only three weeks of release. Since then Tina has been in Australia on an extended trip as her original concert dates sold out and extra nights were added at both Melbourne Hamer Hall and the Sydney Opera House.
Luthea has just released her repackaged and remastered album “Sunbeam Surrounded By Winter” which is an expanded version of her 2005 release “Incessant Spinning”. The new CD includes a newly recorded version of David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel”, a remix, bonus exclusive material, her EPK and beautiful new artwork. She has been in America performing and promoting the album and is scheduled to return to Europe to promote the album through 2008.
