The company was first established in London in 1987 and twenty years later it has come a very long way and now boasts eleven fully staffed creative offices in the most strategic territories around the world, including America, Japan and Germany as well as now establishing operations in China, South Africa and the Middle East.

Many local offices have the privilege of representing and working closely with a number of international superstar songwriters and their repertoire. These include New York based RZO Music, which incorporates the David Bowie catalogue and the legendary Blue Mountain Music whose jewel in the crown includes the songs of Bob Marley and U2. Some other notable songwriters Fairwood represents include J.J. Cale, Sandy Denny, Oleta Adams, Tina Arena, Toni Braxton and Neol Davies, songwriter with The Selecter.

Equally important, each local Fairwood company works towards developing a roster of national writers to reflect the international aspirations of the company. This Network represents a wonderful opportunity for Fairwood Music songwriters to see their repertoire exploited worldwide, not only with cover recordings but also in films, television, advertising, and in the new media. Close links are maintained with the music community, partners and the local collection societies while queries and requests are answered quickly and efficiently.

The Managing Director of each local company is an experienced publisher, with the majority of them coming from a previous career in independent music publishing and are very familiar with the creative as well as the administrative side of our business.

For most of the offices, the royalty accounting is dealt with centrally and registrations are done electronically for maximum collection, speed and reliability.
